Old Luxemburg Inn: A Premier Destination for Steaks and Seafood in Springfield, IL

We really enjoyed our dinner here! The fried lobster was really good. Staff was amazing! Payne at the bar was fantastic; they were very busy that night but he was still attentive to our group.

Place is a somewhat hidden gem. The people that know about it go regularly and for good reason. The food and atmosphere are relaxing and you can tell that the owner/ manager cares about every customer that walks in the door. My food has always been hot, fresh, and flavorful. The only thing to consider is time, they have a small and old kitchen and are upfront that you will probably be waiting a bit. So if you have plenty of time and want a great meal with that home cooked feel, go here. You won’t regret it.

Exceptional greeting. We loved the atmosphere and music. Best New York steak we've ever had. The seafood was delicious, especially the scallops. Highly recommend this place. We will be back.

Loved it. Midwestern fare. Slow paced in a way that gives you plenty of time to talk to your people while you wait. Everyone was super friendly. Spaghetti was great. Brewed tea was perfect. 10 stars. Felt like I was in the Upper Peninsula in Michigan actually. Lots of Midwestern personality to be found here for sure!

First time and won’t be the last! The filet was perfectly medium rare, the chive sauce baked potato was amazing, we split a perfectly broiled lobster tail, the chopped steak had so much flavor and was melt apart tender, and the escoffier sauce was the perfect finish. Love the dark, candle lit atmosphere, and our waitress was great! We waited about 15-20 minutes between ordering and receiving food which was perfect to be able to enjoy our drinks and dinner salads!

Dennis made us feel welcome and Bailey served the drinks and food. Everything was terrific! The service was top notch and the food was impeccable! 5/5 Stars. Definitely recommend! We will be back!

Dennis killed it again.... best food best staff best atmosphere best owner.... time after time.... my wife and I and our 3 grown kids were made to feel like Dennis's family... drinks, apps, steaks n shrimp were all great as usual... but the bartender/owner/community savior and his golden Cadillacs were the utmost top of toppers for the holiday experience we were looking for... can't wait till week after new years to take family from Texas and share the most exquisite dining experience in all of the Midwest!!!!
